Top five advice to Self Defence.
1- Awareness.
Awareness is key in self defense. Awareness of surroundings is import for the options to either fight or flee. Awareness can also lead to avoiding issues by noticing areas where there is trouble. Or other dangerous such as a second attacker or things that can be used as weapons.
2- Positioning.
Maintain a safe distance is most important leaving you the option to fight or flee. Extending your hand and arm length can be done to give yourself enough space between a potentially violent person also a good cautious stance if you need to fight.
3- Verbal Skills.
Verbal skills can prevent a violent situation. Speaking loudly and calm can help gather attention from other people for help or distraction to make an escape. Verbal skills could even calm or avoid a situation.
4-Action beats reaction.
Instantly fleeing or attacking first is always recommended in success of either action, since it always beats reaction.
5- Neutralize the threat
Is the attacker unable to attack anymore? Wither you choose to fight or flee this is the question that must be answered.
Cooking a lobster tutorial.
How to Cook a lobster.
First before buying it comes to the choice of if the lobster is alive or not. More lively lobsters are known to be more pricey but more delicious than the already killed and packaged lobster.
Weight of the lobster also is important to note since it takes 5 minutes for each pound to cook.
Now you’ve decided on which lobster and got its correct weight lets start!
1-First setup a large pot where you will be able to drop the lobster in completely. Fill with water and boil.
2- Salt the water and add any other juices or stock product to enhance the flavour.
3-When water comes to boil drop the lobster in head first while holding the end tail to cook. Let water re boil with the lobster inside then set your flames down to medium or low to boil. Also don’t panic about a loud squealing noise when the lobster cooks, being its gas released from it.
4- Remember the lobster’s weight and time it precisely; lobster meat cooks instantly so don’t overtime it! Its shell will turn bright red when finished completely!
5- Remove lobster and place on folded paper towel to absorb extra moisture.
6- To serve, twist off the lobster’s claws to eat them. For its main body, you have to use mallet or nutcracker to break its shell, also the claws can be smashed open to be eaten. Lobster is also known to be really good with melted butter.
7- Enjoy!
My group documentary which was pitched last week for class will be the documentary wait for DVD, an insight on why people should rather wait for film to be released on DVD rather than going to the cinema.
Set is finished and filming commence this week, a script and concept has already being done and last of research has being done before filming so all prices are up to date when filming commences, filming should be done this week with editing.
LOG LINE:
A adult store wants to advertise its product but in a more comical manner.
Short Synopsis:
Two peaches are placed on an adult film setting paradoing the industrys know clique acting and settings, with a tounge a cheek humor to the catch phrase “”Live can be peachy”"
COMMENT:
Deciding the animate was the best idea mainly because having actors wasn’t possible or stop motion would of have being longer time to make, due to time and schedule having it hand drawn saved time. To make the peaches inseparable to each other certain traits and features had to be added so the audience can tell the difference between each. Also right voice acting and timing off music give off the whole effect of a budget mill adult film. Resulting in the desired comical effect.
Sounds great on paper doesn’t it? An expedition dedicated entirely to just film sets of classic films and seeing behind the scenes for all to see… Sadly thats not the case.
There are some great eductional value on film sets with pictures and some short films running during the event but the entire event itself is underwhelming. Mainly because most of the expedition is dedicated to AUSTRALIA. I got no beef with AUSTRALIA that I haven’t even seen the film however on the promotional ad they showed a lot of other classics such as ALIEN being there. But it only was in video form sadly. Though the miniture models of AUSTRALIA’s film set and rebuilt set of pre World War 2 Darwin house was a nice touch.
Some miniture models of the robots from the Matrix and the Mark 5 from Speed Racer are easily the highlight being brilliantly handcrafted however the rest of the expedition can be skipped through in around ten minutes.
Overall the expedition is just missing content to see there and not really worth the trip. A pity considering most footage seen there could of being watched on the DVD’s extra’s or on youtube.
I had high expectations for this film. Being directed by Frank Miller famous for his work on graphic novels as Sin City and Ronin, him directing one of his favourite books The Spirit sounded like a match made in heaven.
However under all the glitz a very dull film exists.
The movie as stated is very good looking. Great use of silloute and colour saturation of black, white and red with flat backgrounds to give a very retro comic book look. Lots of green screening and lighting to also set the mood of a dark decaying city to a bright scientific lab, the locations in the film are remerable. Even though sometimes it did’t stay consistent at times which can be dissapointing.
However all the looks in the film don’t hide what the main flaw is. The script and the acting. The main actor of the Spirit despite his meant to be a harden burly cop who has a dark past, just can’t act convincing or look the part. Which is a shame because his nemesis happens to be Samuel L Jackson a better and much more convincing actor as well character. While everyone else in the film couldn’t really get my attention or make me really care because there just not entertaining.
I was hoping by half way in the Film that the projector would start rolling Watchmen, but sadly to no avail.
Its a shame because Frank Miller himself has written some work I still adore and even go back to read years late (Batman the Dark Knight returns for example) which I think he should of made into films rather than this one. Yes the Spirit is work that inspired his carrer but Frank himself has done a lot better.
Title says all.
